DIVISIONS/SCHEDULE
Sat Dec 7th: Men’s & Women’s Doubles 2.5 8+, and 3.0, 3.5, (ages 8+ and 50+) 4.0 (8+)
Sun Dec 8th: Mixed Doubles 2.5, 3.0, 3.5 (ages 8+, 50+), 4.0 (8+)
Please note: Some age groups and levels may be combined to create better round-robin groupings.
Exact play times will be posted two weeks from the tournament date. Allow 3 - 3.5 hours for your bracket.
REGISTRATION
You may only register for yourself. Your partner must also register and your team registration will not be complete until both players have registered and paid. This is a fixed doubles tournament, you must have a partner to play with upon signing up. During registration, you will be asked to identify your partner and your level, DUPR rating, and age group.
Doubles partners in different age brackets will be placed in the younger partner’s age bracket. Both partners can play above their rating, but not below. Eg. Both players must be rated 3.49 or below to join the 3.0 division. Both players must be rated 3.99 or below to join the 3.5 division.
If a player does not have a rating or their rating is provisional (with 10 or fewer games recorded), the player can join any division. If players are found registering in lower divisions than their rating, it may result in disqualification.
ENTRY FEE
$60 single event
$40 additional event
$10 discount for early bird registrations until October 27th at 10pm. The final registration deadline is Sunday, November 24th at midnight.

Players may enter more than one division.
PLAY COURTS

TOURNAMENT BALL/RULES
The Franklin Sports X-40 will be the official tournament ball. USAPA 2024 Pickleball Rules will govern. A net serve is a continuous play. Receivers must make 'out-calls' clearly and fairly during gameplay.
PADDLES
As per USAP rules, the use of Joola 3S paddles will not be permitted at Winter Dink 2024. Please see the USAP list of approved paddles here.
FORMAT
- For brackets with 4 teams: You will play a double round robin, first to 11

For brackets with 5 teams: You will be playing a single round robin, 1 game, first to 15, win by 1
- For brackets with 6 - 9 teams: You will be playing a single round robin, 1 game, first to 11, win by 1
- For brackets with 10 teams: You will be split into two pools. Each pool will play a single round robin, 1 game, first to 15, win by 1. The top two teams from each pool will go through to medals rounds, two games, first to 11, win by 1 to decide gold, silver, and bronze placements.
- 12 - 18 teams: You will be split into two pools for a single round robin, 1 game, first to 11, win by 1. The top two teams from each pool will go through to medal rounds, two games, first to 11, win by 1 to decide gold, silver, and bronze placements.
SCORING:
Medal placement will be calculated first by number of total wins, second, by number of wins against head to head teams, third, by total points.
DUPR
All match scores will be reported to DUPR. Your DUPR rating at the time of registration will be the score use for verification. Players should register for a free DUPR account if they have not done so already at MyDupr.com. You will also need to join the DINKiCAN DUPR club, which can be found at this link. Neither player on a team may have a DUPR rating higher than the division entered (eg. a 3.5 male may not play in a 3.5 mixed division with a 4.05 woman as the woman is not eligible).
AWARDS
Custom DINKiCAN medals for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers.

WITHDRAWALS
No refunds or credits issued after November 23rd. You may transfer credit to another player should you need to sub out or switch partners for any reason.
SEATING/SPECTATORS
Spectators and supporters are welcome! Some seating is available, bringing a chair is advised.
